Petra Benach has lived and painted in the Bay Area for over 15 years. Though her degree is in Psychology with an almost Minor in Math, Petra has always been an artist for as long as she can remember.

She has studied figure drawing, ceramics and painting, while pursuing the finer crafts of sewing, knitting and jewelry making.

Petra’s influences continue to be driven by those extreme artists that have flashed through our culture with a gunshot through the art world, Jackson Pollock, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Sir Francis Bacon, but her heart is in the consistent pursuit of the artistic process.
